The total number of questions asked in MAT 2024 is 150 questions and five sections have 30 questions each. The duration of the MAT exam is 120 minutes. According to the MAT marking scheme:

  • 1 mark will awarded for the correct answer

  • 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

  • There is no mark deduction for unanswered questions.

How the MAT Percentile is Calculated?

MAT results will be available in the form of a scorecard with sectional and overall marks achieved in the MAT exam. Some of the MBA colleges consider the MAT score to shortlist the candidates for further admission rounds, while others use the MAT percentile to shortlist. MAT percentile is calculated using the formula:

  • MAT Percentile Score = (Composite scores obtained by a candidate/ Total number of candidates) * 100

MAT Score vs Percentile

Hello,

With a MAT score of 411, your percentile is relatively low, which may limit your options for MBA colleges in Bangalore . Most reputed institutions have higher cutoffs. However, you can consider applying to lesser-known colleges that accept lower MAT scores.

Some colleges that may consider lower MAT scores are :

  • Indus Business Academy (IBA), Bangalore

  • International Institute of Business Studies (IIBS), Bangalore

  • Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies (RIMS), Bangalore

  • Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences (AIMS), Bangalore

  • Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT), Bangalore

Hope it helps !
